Adoptive parent support group
“I was part of the adoption group run through Nurturewell facilitated by Jo Gore and Jacquie Martin. This group provided a safe space for mothers of older adopted children to share and be heard. The gentle guidance by both Jo and Jacqui allowed me to feel safe and enabled me to bring my 'whole' story to the group. I found that this allowed me to explore parenting techniques I hadn't previously thought of which in turn was beneficial to me and my children. I am enormously grateful to both Jo and Jacqui and consider that the group has been extremely beneficial.”
Workshop - Looking at the world through your child’s eyes
“Learnt a lot about my child. Facilitators were excellent source of information. They were well versed in their understanding of attachment and emotional development. They were very approachable even during breaks.”
“Excellent. The ‘net gain’ given only a 3-3.5 hour commitment of time I thought was exceptional.”
Workshop - Looking at the world through your child’s eyes: the adolescent journey
“Wonderful experience that I would recommend everyone in our position [as adoptive parents] to attend. Their combined knowledge, understanding and genuine care was very evident throughout the whole workshop. They are so very passionate to not only help our beautiful children but also understanding of our struggles as loving parents” (Sandra Goddard)
